What is Nutrition Response Testing?

NRT is a form of applied kinesiology where the practitioner uses muscle response (also known as muscle testing) to evaluate the body's nutritional deficiencies and potential stressors, such as toxins, infections, or food sensitivities. The technique involves lightly pressing on specific points on the body while applying pressure to a muscle, usually the arm. If the muscle weakens, it is believed to indicate stress or imbalance related to the tested substance or organ.

How It Works:

  1. Initial Assessment: During an NRT session, the practitioner may check the body's response to various stressors, such as environmental toxins, heavy metals, food sensitivities, or immune challenges.
  2. Muscle Testing: The patient holds different substances or nutrients, and the practitioner tests how the body’s muscles respond. Weakness in the muscle response suggest that the body has an issue related to that substance or nutrient.
  3. Personalized Program: Based on the findings, the practitioner creates a personalized health improvement program. This may include dietary changes, whole-food supplements, or lifestyle adjustments to help support the body's natural healing processes. Each clients program is designed personally to what their body needs based on the testing.
  4. Ongoing Monitoring: Over time, NRT is used to monitor the patient's progress, adjusting recommendations as needed to optimize health improvements.

Benefits of NRT:

  • Identifies Root Causes: Unlike many conventional methods that focus on symptom management, NRT aims to identify and address the root cause of the health issue.
  • Non-Invasive: NRT does not involve any blood tests, scans, or invasive procedures.
  • Customized Care: Each individual's health plan is unique, ensuring that recommendations are tailored to their specific needs.
  • Supports Healing: The focus on nutrition and detoxification helps restore balance, allowing the body to heal more efficiently.

How It Helps:

  • Digestive Issues: NRT can uncover sensitivities or intolerances to specific foods, leading to improved gut health.
  • Fatigue & Low Energy: Nutritional deficiencies and toxicity can contribute to chronic fatigue, which can be addressed through targeted supplementation.
  • Immune Support: By identifying stressors and balancing nutrition, NRT can help strengthen the immune system.
  • Hormonal Imbalances: NRT can detect issues that contribute to hormonal imbalances, providing a pathway for correction.
  • Detoxification: NRT can highlight the presence of toxins and recommend ways to support the body's detoxification pathways.

When Will I See Results?

That is up to YOU! Our role is to provide a program that is personalized for what your body needs to heal. We will walk along side you to give you the resources to be successful. You will experience three phases for your healing journey.

Fine Tuning Phase: Once you start on your initial nutritional supplement program, it generally takes six to eight office visits to experience results. Our first goal is to stabilize your Autonomic Nervous System so that your body has the resources to heal itself. During this time we will also be reviewing your diet and offering you guidance in regard to any essential improvements necessary in order to maximize your gains. Many people experience noticeably results and relief during this period.

Healing & Restoration Phase: After your nervous system, nutritional program, and dietary patterns are stabilized, we will move forward to a period of healing and observation. Although you may have already experienced relief, long term healing takes time. Consistency is key here. Most people find that optimum progress can be obtained by having a regular schedule of check-ups every other week for the allotted time period.

Maintenance Phase: When you have achieved a more optimum health level, naturally you will want to stay well. This is most easily accomplished through routine Nutrition Response Testing office visits over the next year and beyond. Frequency is determined on an individual basis, anywhere from monthly, to quarterly, semi-annually, or even annually. Most maintenance programs require lesser amounts of nutritional supplements than were needed in the earlier phases of your program to “protect your investment in your health. ” Getting onto a maintenance program will allow us to continue to assist you and your body to maintain the health improvements you have experienced to this point.
